I arrived in Estonia!

Dear visitor,

it's unbelievable, just a week ago Bjorn took care of me and then put me on the train to Estonia. After an interesting trip in the train I arrived in Estonia. At the beginning I was lost in Tallinn. I didn't know where to go, but some really friendly people at the postoffice made sure I could travel to my destination: Tartu. Tartu is a city in the middle of Estonia. It is the city where my friends studied in fall 2005.
I cannot say much about the city yet and the people there, but I am sure I will have a great time, since the first introduction to Marge was breath-taking. Her enthusiasm and great caring warmth me after this long trip!
Marge told me that she will show the city to me and take me to great parties of her friends. Luckily some people celebrate their birthdays these days, also friends of Bjorn and Arjan, so that's gonna be great fun!
Ok, that's it for the moment, I promise to post all the stories about my Estonian experiences here soon, also expect some amazing party pictures!

Sofie the travelling plant

Dear Vistor

I'm still alive and right now, I'm on the way to Estonia and I have 10 minutes time to tell you something new. My last two weeks I spent in Erfurt. It was quite funny and I enjoyed it a lot. I saw a lot of things in Thuringia and Erfurt (the capital of this department).I relaxed really much and now I have enough energy for the next trips, but the most important thing is, that I'm now not any longer naked, because Bjoern brought me to a nice advertisement company, which dressed me with a nice sticker. You can see the nice lady (which dressed me) and me with my new clothes on the pic.

Oh time is running! I have to go, sorry guys, but I promise that I will tell you about my Estonia trip soon! Just check my page regular!

Ciao Sofie

My first real trip!

Dear visitor,

As promised the first real trip story! As said in my first post, I am born in Berlin, Germany, on the 24th of February 2006. Three of my friends (Bjorn, Paulien and Arjan) found me on that day in a very nice bakery where I was alone, on a table. Luckily they saw me and decided that they wanted to take care of me. At first communication was quite difficult, but I managed to tell them that I wanted to travel, see the world, and free myself from the horrible situation I was in: entertaining clients of the bakery. They told me they have many friends all over the world and that it wouldn’t be very difficult to get in touch with them. I was so glad to hear that and thankful that these three decided to help me! So then already my first trip started!

They showed me the Brandenburger Tor, the Reichstag and the Jewish monument near the last two. Quite impressive for a first day! I thought I had seen and heard a lot in the bakery but the stories I saw there were amazing. In the Jewish monument they showed me that once there was a terrible leader who started the second world war. I don’t even want to write here the things I saw. Incredible! He killed people just because they looked different than his ideal. He killed people because they thought different than he did. He killed people because they believed in particular religion. The stories of these victims impressed me a lot, and I sincerely hope such a leader will never appear again!
In the museum under the Jewish Monument were pictures of a time long ago, it was the time when people decided to build a wall between families, neighbours and friends. None of these people wanted this wall. They wanted to stay together. But some politicians decided that they could not, and if they still wanted to, they could be killed. And this all happened in Berlin! Luckily, it is much better now. I saw a lot of nice buildings, restaurants and people living happily together. After a few days my new friends decided to go to Poznan in Poland to visit some of their friends (Aga and Schmeck). In the train they told me these were friends they met in Estonia where they both studied for 5 months. The train trip was about 2.5 hours; as you can see on the picture I was enjoying it a lot, there was beer, cigarettes and a lot of people to talk to.

In Poznan we met Aga and Schmeck in the station and took the tram to their house.
When we got in the house we wanted to chill a bit and drank a few beers, ate something and then discussed what to do that evening. The friends from Estonia told us there was a trendy club in the centre where their friends were going to… It turned out to be a great place with a lot of people and beers somewhere on the 10th floor of a building! WOW: I am only a few days old and I can enter clubs already! The next day we saw Poznan and its churches: as I learnt Polish people are very religious, catholic, so there are a lot of churches in Poznan! But we didn’t just visit churches, we also drank a few coffees and ate some real Polish stuff in little pubs. I liked Poznan a lot! And the next day was even better: my friends told me there is a brewery in Poznan. Nice…we took some buses and arranged a guide to show us around in this paradise! Afterwards the guide liked us that much that she gave all of us free beer! Unfortunately this was the last day in Poland and I had to say goodbye to my new Polish friends: Aga and Schmeck (I never knew how to write your name!) thanks for everything!

So we took the train to Berlin again and stayed a few more days there, it felt like home to me, but then immediately I got the feeling that I wanted to travel some more! So I asked Bjorn if I could come with him to Erfurt for some time until I would make some new travelling plans. He agreed and I am still with him planning some nice trips!
Bjorn told me that his friends in Estonia were planning to go to The Netherlands in the end of March… awesome I said! I wanna go too. Bjorn said no problem, you can fly with them! So that’s the plan. In two weeks I will meet his friends in Tartu, the city in Estonia were Bjorn and Arjan studied. From there I will travel on the 29th of March with Marge, Maria and Tobias to Maastricht, The Netherlands where Arjan lives. Then I will tell you about that travel too. So make sure to check my website soon!
