Thuringia - the place where the BRATWURST comes from

Hey friends,

the last of couple weeks i spent in the south of thuringia....in a town wich is called Suhl....i'm pretty sure anybody who knows a bit about weapon history, history of the GDR or even winter sports may know this place. It's a small town situated in nice valleys surrounded by a big forest. Some people say that nothing......really nothing...... important happens here, well.....

during my time here i hiked a lot in the forest, climbed a bit, saw the luge and biathlon world championship in Oberhof, met some friends of my host and tried of course the original "Thüringer Bratwurst" which has a marvellous taste..... but the best was the fantastic view down from the mountains over the city and the countryside....i enjoyed it so often and still don't have enough, but get your own opinion by the following impressions....you know pictures say more than thousand words....write u soon again.....hugs Sofie

oh btw my next trip starts at the 3rd of march....where it will be i can't say now....just so much: the biggest island on earth is waiting for me.....ciao

The armourer is the symbol of Suhl and is situated at the center of the market-place. In the background you can see a little chapel, where i went a bit later

the townhall with the slogan: " in the green forest the red town which has a fired townhall "
